Are enclosed cargo trailers safe shelter from a thunderstorm?

    A metal cargo trailer is a good faraday cage so it would protect you from lightning quite well.

    It's better than standing out in a field. More than likely the lightning would go on the outside of the trailer protecting you. Plus you would be dry vs wet better insulating you.
