Are Instapots safe? Arent they another word for pressure cooker?
I knew a guy that almost died when a pressure cooker exploded. I had the opposite happen when the pressure cooker collapsed the lid due to the suction pressure.

When I was a kid, Mom had the top blow off a pressure cooker. It left a dent in the ceiling that remained there until she moved out 28 years later. I became of professional chef, and have Still never used a pressure cooker, remembering that incident.

It's Instant Pot, not Instapot.
The Instant Pot has more built-in safety features than a regular pressure cooker and is engineered pretty well IMO. I far prefer it.
The Instant Pot has the ability to cook in a variety of different methods just one of which is pressure cooking. It can also saute, slow cook, make yogurt and the rice setting magically knows when the rice is cooked.
