my hair got stuck inside a USB outlet while I plugged it in, is it dangerous?

so I was wondering if I could get electric shock if my hair accidentally got stuck inside a USB outlet on my plugged in laptop? I was plugging in a memory stick and my hair got stuck in while it was half way in. my hair kinda felt a sting but I'm not sure if there are any risks? can electricity travel through my hair and hurt me?

    :) You're okay.

Slightly worse than a static shock, worst case scenario.  That's what happened when I bumped into  a  computer part that was on (external hard drive without the shield)     and that very likely has a lot more volts than a USB outlet.

A USB port is only 5v.  Even if you stuck your tongue in there, you wouldn't feel anything.  Hair is not a very good electrical conductor, so you can't get a shock through it, except maybe static electricity.
