Can you write down the differences between the characters of James Bond and George Smiley ?

I’m writing a book about two characters like these two spies teaming up and I just want somebody else’s perspective on how they see these characters so I can get a feel. The Book is set during the The Russian Civil War And it’s about three spies who infiltrate Russia during that time to rescue princess Anastasia

The main reason behind this book is every story if Anastasia is the same it’s time to involve the story even though we know the outcome that she did not escape I feel like at this point it’s sort of a Russian fairytale about a princess escape revolution so I wanted to create a type of story around the fairytale.
