is their more rainy days per year here then california?

is their more rainy days in the eastern side of the country particularly Washington DC pennsylvaniaand new york? id ball park that where i live in sacramento, ca we see about 15-20 days of rain a year. is it higher in those areas? for example it has not rain in about 20days up here in march/april

    The East gets far more rain than the West does, with the exception of the Pacific NW. That's why the typical climax vegetation is deciduous forest in the East. As you go west, it changes to tall-grass prairie, then short-grass prairie, then desert.
