yes they are closing down in a few weeks. a lot of kids are on here, cussing and getting rude and asking stupid question

Yes. May 4 will be the date Yahoo Answers is being sunsetted. Two weeks before the site's closure (on the 20th), it will revert to a read-only mode where no more Q&As will be posted.

I hope this gives you reason to go out and do some real productive things in life

it has nothing to do with trolls,, it is cost of software updates and monitoring is not paying off by advertising 

for example: how often do you click on the photo of the women saying naked photos on line ruined her life .... her pretty face shows in the click bait and the progressive next page button increase the clicks (advertising)  

yet there were 20-50 pages and no naked photos

so you quit clicking on click bait (so has everyone stopped hitting the click bait)  --- in the mean time did you ever click on the advertise link and buy something>? nope! So advertisers stop buy ads

thus click bait and sights associated with them like YA is going away 

new ways to make money on line are getting harder and harder to create 

YA clearly lost its value and the new owner of Yahoo want to cut cost / staff 

TROLLS? content has no bearing at all on what is happening... lack of traffic is ! now you can say people stopped coming because of trolls but it could be also said people began to troll because the sight was dead and boring do to lack of traffic..

I'm surprised it took this wrong. Answers has been going to sh|t for a longtime now. Too many trolls.
