Is having insects in your home a huge issue?

I used to live with my aunt and uncle and cousin for 3 months out of every year and they would sometimes get bugs in their home because their house was nestled in by tons of trees and green grass and rock and they had a sun deck - Like I used to swim in their small sized pool and every morning I would force my cousin to spend 1-2 hours collecting the dead wasps and bees in the pool and throw them out before I began my daily swim routine - I didn’t care about the bugs cause they never bothered you

But in my home when I see insects it bothers me cause I’m afraid they will multiply or crawl on my body

Bugs are going to get in, it's what they do. Type of bug determines issue. I get stink bugs every fall, just unsightly, no damage.  If I see carpenter ants, then it is an issue, roaches, termites, bees in the walls would all be issue. The other, just deal with them as they appear.

Buy a few flyswatters and keep them strategically positioned.   You can clip one to your belt if it gets that bad.  The one that bothers us is the scorpion.  They do hurt if they sting you, but we are rarely bitten.  We keep pliers strategically placed and pick them up, a slight squeeze and a quick flush down the commode.

From my point of view, it depends on the insect.  Most of them I don't really want in the house because they can't make a living there.  The ones that can  -  roaches, flies, ants, silverfish, for instance, I don't want because they WILL make a living in the house!  The ones that really bother me are roaches and flies.  I have a phobia of roaches, and flies make noise and land on me, and can carry disease.  Ants I can keep under control...  Anyhow, I suppose the cats eat some of the bugs.  I don't mind spiders but I keep the Black Widows out in order to accommodate visitors.

So, if you can identify the insects, you will know better what to think of them.

go to the store or your local walmart and buy tons of cinnamon, mix it with water and spray it everywhere in your house and open some windows. the flies will hate the smell and do everything they can to leave
