Is there a difference in how people in the middle class prefer makeup compared to upper class?

For example I've heard middle class people do not like 'too much makeup'. However upper class people or rich people, if you Google famous ones such as actresses, they often will wear a full face of makeup with bright lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow combined with fake lashes and foundation.

Update:

@Kate, I understand your point of view. However, I think it is judgy to view someone as 'flashing their wealth' if they prefer a full face of makeup or brands. It depends on the person's intention. We cannot just assume they're doing it to show off. Perhaps they like certain makeup styles and I do not believe it is wrong to want to look good. There is this misconception that looking good = shallow. It's not as simple as that.

Update 2:

Also, people who wear 'too much makeup' and are working class are looked down for apparently having no taste by some people. However, taste is personal. Sometimes a person can grow tired of always wearing minimalistic/ natural makeup styles. I've personally liked both. Sometimes I want to wear 'natural makeup and on other days I prefer a more colourful look.

I know that low class trash like to draw on their eyebrows.  It looks hideous and stupid, then some of them get a little money, likely from prostitution, and they are stupid enough to tattoo on their eyebrows.  How dumb do you have to be to even think that is a good idea? LMFAO!

Doesn’t apply to this subject. If you want to talk about going out for a nice dinner, then the choices are light years apart!

I'm not sure that it's income level.  I think in a lot of places, people's attitudes are still old-fashioned.

Many celebs think they have a lot of class - but it's all Low Class.

Those who know realize that less is more . . . . a person should try to look natural, not like they've had their faces painted a Maaco.

Famous and upper class are two different animals.

I think your mistaking Hollywood for all upper class. People who live in LA such as rich actresses are a lot different than the average wealthy individual. Part of their job is literally to dress up, wear a lot of makeup.. so it makes sense that they would translate it into everyday life as well.

I grew up in a pretty wealthy area in the state of Louisiana & people who are wealthy here prefer to dress down & keep their wealth hidden & on the Low.

There is just something so much more elegant about being wealthy & keeping it on the low.. instead of flashing all sorts of name brand things around. In my opinion flashing wealth can almost make you look tacky. Anybody who is actually wealthy knows that many of the retail stores like Louis Vuitton and Gucci actually are targeted towards poor people who want to appear wealthy. Keep that in mind bc much of the upper class knows this.

I would prefer to have the more polished middle class look any day.

Idk, I myself prefer more of a relaxed lowkey look and I’m someone who did come from money.

One of the greatest quotes I’ve ever heard is “some people are so poor all they have is money”.. let it sink in.

Life is about so much more than flashy things, wealth & looking good all the time. Life is about experiences, family & friends.

Possibly but I think it all depends on each individual
