Is Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle a good game?

I must know if I am to get this game. I love..LOVE MARIO..and I have played all the games but I have heard many things about this game so I gotta know...is it worth it??

I'm not a fan of strategy games, but I did like this one.  I played through the main game and the Donkey Kong DLC.

There is a difficulty spike about 2/3 or so into the game, but once you get past that, it's very satisfying.

The Gold Edition is on sale for under $15 (the normal price is $80) on the North American eShop

Do you like strategy games? Because this one plays like the XCOM series, just more fun visuals. And it isn't afraid to get surprisingly difficult at times. I thought it was a great game and I hope it introduces more people to this style of game. But it's a serious departure from any other Mario title.
