Shooters: my eyesight is poor these days. Is it possible to fit a pistol scope to a broomhandle without it looking silly ?

You may not have liked my answers before and this one is no exception. Your TDs do not bother me in the least but would really appreciate the "why". So if you are not satisfied with my answer please be woman enough to explain in the additional details and maybe we can reach common ground. 

I am a retired Tool & Die machinist that 55+ years experience has ran concurrent with several hobbies that include doing things to firearms when gunsmiths have given up. I have stated that a scope could be installed on a broom handle (the kind you sweep with) or garden hose if someone wants it bad enough.

Yes, a scope could be mounted on the C96. But, like the M1 Garands I have mounted Griffin & Howe side mounts on while in the military armory the C96 would have to be a side mount because of the use of stripper clips and ejection interference. Side mounts in my opinion are just as accurate as top mounts when lined up with the bore. If you need further explanation you have the additional details.

As far a looking silly.... zero guarantee as to where others might find humor.

I like your style, you can't be a murderer with a broomstick, unless your like that blind guy that uses a stick to take out Storm Troopers. I don't like people that use or have guns, they are a murderer in the making.

For those with bad eye sight  I recommend a shot gun with bird shot for home defense scares the hell out of an intruder and they can be arrested once they go to the hospital....
