Is it sensible for a teacher to do this if 2 or more teachers teach a particular class?

All students in that class go to one of the 2-3 teachers to have their HW checked immediately after hanging up their coat/bookbag. It's their choice who to pick. Months later, one of the teachers notices that a particular student ALWAYS opts for the other teacher(s) to check his homework. None of the teachers for that class is a Student Teacher (or just learning); they're all REAL teachers. Would it be sensible of her to force him to select her to check his HW?

Update:

since he gets in line for another teacher's desk every single morning?

Update 2:

I specified that they're not student teachers so I wouldn't get an answer like *to make sure he has the work done correctly*

No it is not sensible nor is it fair.

The students have a freedom to choose the teacher. The teachers don't get to vote in that choice. The teacher doing this undermines trust of the student and the second teacher.

    It is dictatorship.

Yes, it is absolutely sensible. Not sure what you are looking for as an answer.

Why this insistence on "forcing" a student to select another teacher? If both the teachers are as you say "real teachers" what difference does it make?
