St. Paddy's Day is traditional. As the article you cite points out, Patty is traditionally regarded as a female name, short for Patricia, and Paddy is often used as a nickname for Irishmen named Patrick.

Saint Patrick's Day -- pretty traditional here.

ALWAYS St. Patrick's Day or St. Paddy's day. The nickname for Patrick in Ireland is Paddy- NOT Patty!

St. Patty's day since it's St Patrick's Day and the short form for Patrick is Pat not Paddy.
