Is Caterpie a scrabble word? ?

Can I use pokemon names as scrabble words. They are not proper nouns: my pikachu can have it's own name, different to my friend's pikachu

    If it is not in the dictionary, it’s not an acceptable scrabble word.

    Hi dear. Scrabble does not 'just' exclude Proper nouns. One other rule that could disallow a word, is if the word does not exist in a standard dictionary, which caterpie does not.
