Anyone know where the: "Let's call it George"? idiom originated? ?
I'm pretty sure it originated in the Caribbean as my mom is from St.Kitts/Nevis and she says it all the time. But who is this George???? :)

I have never heard that expression. What did she mean when she said it? It appeared in a question on Y/A back in 2010. "Are you familiar with "Let's call that George" meaning "let's call it a day" or "that's enough, let's finish up"" One responder said it came from Trinidad and Tobago.
