Is art university worth it?

I think the mental and life well being benefits could be life changing for me if I made the decision to leave home and live at Uni in 2023.

I am currently 22 and didn't do well in my GCSE.

I am still needing to pass a couple of GCSE's and just re did my art gcse which is now higher than a pass and what I want to pursue.

People tell me you can't get much of a stable career in art. But I think I want to pursue something in design, like illustration or graphic design for a living

Currently I lack a social life, any social skills, or any experience in romantic and sexual relationships except some sex experiences.

I think with all of this and just having to study art could make my happiness go through the roof.

But some aren't convinced of the benefits of studying art full time.

I've been working a part time job for 5 years and studying at home since dropping out of sixth form college

What should I do?

Update:

sorry who said it was my parents money? when i said i had a job?

It's not to say you can't have success, but art school is perhaps the most expensive path to success. ... The odds of graduating with a job in your chosen field are very low, even lower if you choose a fine arts path. If you're deciding if it's worth it from a practical / financial stand point the answer is no.

You will need A levels and probably best if you do a foundation course first.

Studying something that won't get you a job outside of one where you get to ask whether the customer would like french fries with their order isn't an impressive way to spend your time or your parents  money.
