V6 in 2002 MR2 Spyder?

I have an mr2 and I’ve read a lot of things online about swapping the 1zz for a v6 or even a 2zz. I’m not that good with cars but if I were to swap, should I go for the 2zz or the v6? Which engine should I buy? I don’t want to buy the wrong one.

Go with a Camry V6.  Replace head gaskets before swapping.  Assume you have a mill/lathe/welder/lift/engine hoist/and expert knowledge in auto electric...  If not add $5,000 on top of parts.

You have no clue what you're doing. Even if one of the motors bolts up to the transmission the computer still won't work and you'll need a computer and wiring harness that works with the motor you put in.

Your car is not broken.  Stop fixing it.
