I have a few passwords written down on bits of paper. Others I just make my phone remember them, until I eventually need to type one in, then I forget it and need to make a new one...

all of my passwords is based an old address
the name of the street and numbers 
ex
debit card pin number use the old address numbers
websites passwords use the street name or street name and numbers

I use the Dashlane app and I keep a written record of my passwords in a file as backup
