Please help! Do people in gymnastics do these certain moves or is this with pole dancing? Appreciate it the helpful answers?

Told bf I’m getting a pole & he started telling me certain moves I can do so I thought he was coming with these ideas from when he went to strip clubs & stuff but instead he said his stepsister was into gymnastics so from stuff she’s told him to him watching a bit on tv with her... thing is, is there such a move in gymnastics when you are on a pole or rope and hold on to your legs and fall back? Other move was laying sideways

You sound more than slightly "challenged", you know.

As far as I know there are no routines with vertical poles. There are plenty using ropes. Gymnastic ropes are thick, like poles are wide. There are lots of circus gymnastics using them too, like Cirque du Soleil. I've seen such things on TV going back to Ed Sullivan days. And I have been in one single strip club for a bachelor party, years ago.
