Im moving in the next week..

My anxiety is through the roof.

Anyone have any tips on how to make moving stress free? Or at least tips and tricks on making it easier?!

Being organised is the key. Plan what you're taking and how you will pack it. Label boxes or list what is where in an exercise book. Start packing well in advance so you aren't rushed. Imagine in your mind what you will do when you arrive in the new place. Write it down. Also focus on what's good about your new place. Good luck!

I understand what you are going through. I was in a similar predicament when I moved to Hawaii from California.

My anxiety stemmed from all the junk my wife and I acquired over the years.

First and foremost, get rid of everything that you don't need or is easily replaceable. Keep only a handful of things that have sentimental value. Donate or trash the rest.

The less stuff that needs transport, the less stress you will have.

Moving IS a stressful event. For everyone.

Do write out lists.  Stuff to do before, during and after.

Don’t forget to eat and drink water the day you move in. Don’t think you need to unpack everything right away.  Get your bed set up. Have clean sheets and your pillows with you if you can. So you are not digging through boxes.

Just get organized. Make a list and tick things off as you complete them
