Is it really possible for the UK to meet it's ,Covid vaccine 2nd dose targets ,within 12 weeks of the first ?

The first 4 priority categories consisted of around 13 million people , all of whom had received their first vaccination by around Feb 15 .Hence they are all due to have received their second dose , by the end of April .

But whilst first vaccination numbers are running at around 500,000 a day , second dose vaccinations are running at around 25000 a day.

At that sort of rate , it will take over a year to vaccinate them , and no matter how much one might reasonably expect the 2nd .daily vaccination rate to improve , it's hard to see it meeting the 12 week limit ?

Over-eighties started receiving their first dose on 8 December and aren't due a second dose until the beginning of next month. The relatively small number prematurely receiving a second dose now is no indication of what will be achieved then.

They will achieve the target, providing that enough vaccines are available.

Unusually they are making their other targets as far as the vaccinations are concerned so I see no reason why they won't do this.

Of course it is we can precisely stop money and benefits,  issue bedroom tax we can regulate every penny in the country buying a vaccine and using the NHS and wonderfull volunteers we can achieve anything we have 66 million of us , together we are great but not when all hunting money
