I'm 66 Y O. What would happen if I get hired at some job?

Do I lose any benefits as retired person? What would I gain and lose?

Thanks for looking in.

You looked as far as Y.A.

Why don't YOU look farther with asking your browser (many people use Google so they Google it...you can Yahoo it or ask any other browser and it finds the same stuff.

Retirement gets benefits in some countries, in others not.  These are Government payouts for your years of service "type of idea".  That means in your location there is a Government department that deals with retirement questions & can you make money while retired.  Usually it is a small amount you are allowed.

. It also tells you how to fill out application forms so you are taxed correctly on the wages you earn(much lower rate)

. It matters where you live and what kind of job  it is.  If it is cash or you are on payroll.

. YOU got to do the searching. Not me.

Until "normal" retirement age, which I think is now 67 but I could be wrong, you receive less in social security benefits.  However, you don't really lose them, because the amount you get after "normal" retirement age (again, 67?) is increased so that (on average) you get about the same or slightly more over your lifetime (depending on when you die).

If you're asking about Social Security benefits, you need to know your "full retirement age". If you've reached it, you can make as much as you want without it affecting your benefits.

See my "source" below for more information.
