Why did Michael Jordan shave his head bald as opposed to doing large Afro or a Jheri Curl?

    Having a bald head made it easier to play with the flu

    Jordan was balding so he shaved his head bald

    He was losing a whole lot of this hair on top. Shaving the entire head is one way not to let that show and/or bother you.
