I ordered a 10” Dobsonian telescope. Is 10” too powerful to see andromeda in a full view?

A 10" dob is a bit big for a beginner (an 8" would be better). However, there is so much more to see besides the Andromeda galaxy.
For example. The Messier list. 110 objects that just about all amateurs work on.

This one is tougher to do. It requires that you have a really dark sky location to observe from.

In the meantime, get a planetarium program that can help you find those objects. There all sorts of ones that are free.

The one I like is this.

Also, if at all possible - join an astronomy club. It can be your best resource for all sorts of astronomy information.

It's a bit over the top for someone who is new to astronomy. You will be disappointed with the view of Andromeda or any other galaxy.
Should be good for looking at the moon and planets tho.
