If the liquid hydrogen(LH) in rockets needs to be vented out as it warms up on the launch pad, why not just store the LH at a warmer temp?
It just doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m the furthest thing away from a rocket scientist. If the LH is already going to boil off on the launch pad, then why store it at super-cooled temperatures? It sounds like a waste of LH and money.
