Ok, this is as simple as crisp/chips to understand BV3. Your diet as now limited you to 1500 cals per day, you are burning orf 2000 cals a day, Wow! What are you doing? Lol. This means, the other 500cals must come from SOMEWHERE, RIGHT? Where does your body fine it? from your fat. I did say it was as simple as crisp/chips didn't I Stanley? YOU SURE DID. :-)

    PS.

Why am I answering 2 week old questions Stanley? BEATS THE HECK OUT OF ME. :-)

    PPS.

    Oh! Thanks for the BA's BV3. :-)

Depends on the diet and how you use it.  ALL weight loss required a calorie deficit.  Your body will not access stored fat until it is out of fuel from the foods you eat.

To be in a calorie deficit, you need to know how many calories your body needs (BMR or TDEE number) and the calories in everything you consume. The best way to know that is to weight and measure your foods and use a food tracking app like Lose IT or MyFitnessPal -- or an app like Noom -- that allows you to scan bar codes to enter foods.

A daily calorie deficit fo 500 calories will generally result in a weight loss of 1 pound of fat per week.  This is a safe fat loss rate.  For most people, cutting portion sizes and replacing some high calorie/low nutrient food with lower calorie/higher nutrient foods can result in a decrease in 500 calories without to much suffering.

I have no idea. Without knowing your current weight, current eating habits, age, activity level, general health outlook, what your new "diet" would consist of...no way to even make a guess.

You shouldn't be dieting, you should be changing your eating habits for the rest of your life. Restrictive diets, like calorie counting and munching on only lettuce, will make you binge more and give up quicker. Box/fad diets, like Slimfast, Atkins, Jenny Craig, and Nutri-System may help you lose those stubborn 15 pounds, but you will gain weight when you ease back into real food, as you've been investing your money into their food. Teas, pills, and powders are the BAIN of diet culture, and do nothing but dehydrate you and cause you to be hungrier. They are all a multi-million dollar scam that do nothing.

You need to find a way of eating that will satisfy you, fill you up, and is nutritionally sound. We all need different things, different amounts, and different foods. What works for me may not work for you, and vice-versa, but safe to say that everyone can benefit from meals that have whole grains, healthy natural fats, fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. Avoid processed garbage foods and processed sugars. Stick to one ingredient foods. Cook for yourself and meal prep as much as you can, that way you know what goes into all your food. Try to eat intuitively, meaning LISTEN to your body: are you really hungry, or just bored? Drink more water. 80% of the time, our hunger and thirst cues are totally off; we're really thirsty, but we think we're hungry. After 3 days of not giving in and drinking more water, you'll notice a drastic change in your appetite.

It took me a few months of fine tuning, but I know that, for ME, I can wait to eat until about 9:30-10am in the mornings, a good three-and-a-half hours after I wake up. My stomach starts rumbling around this time, so I eat. I'm good until dinner, maybe a light snack in between, but I know that I only have to eat 2 times a day. Ignore the clock, ignore everything you were taught about WHEN TO EAT. Eat when you're hungry, don't if you're not.

My diet is the following, with tons of water throughout the day:

Coffee with FULL FAT half and half, maybe some sugar-free syrup for flavor.

10am- Slice of whole grain toast with either a hard-boiled egg mashed with with avocado or mayo, salt and pepper, or peanut butter (only ingredients are salt and peanuts) and 1/2 a banana sliced on top. Weekends, it's a scramble with tons of veggies and toast.

12pm-2pm- Nothing, or a full-fat string cheese, some popcorn with some butter and salt, or a piece of fruit.

5:30-6pm- Dinner, which has been more on the keto side for my husband's sake. Last night, we had cauliflower rice, spinach cooked in butter, and shrimp. We'll do burger patties with onions and cheese, fish with sprouts, chicken and asparagus, etc. We keep it low-carb and healthy fat loaded.

Whole grains are not the enemy. Natural FATS are not the enemy. Diet culture IS the enemy.  Don't go on a diet. Change your diet completely.

Pretty much depends on your current weight, if you are under weight you will lost nothing, if you are at normal weight you will probably not lose much weight, if you are over weight, you should lose weight.
