    She's just part of the many 'chosen' entertainers who suit a certain profile and she's probably jumped through many hoops to get where she is, because there are many far better singer/songwriters than Blige.

    I like her music a lot and admire her as a person for being a survivor of many types of abuse. She strikes me as a strong woman who came from a very difficult situation/upbringing to become very successful and I really admire that. Also I can relate to a lot of her songs and listen to them a lot.
