If the roles been reserved for the Montreal Screwjob would Shawn Michaels have agreed to drop the title to Bret Hart at San Antonio Texas?

he would have said he lost his smile and vacated the title

Shawn would have just vacated the title saying he lost his smile. But that's at least one better than Brett did trying to keep the title without even vacating it.

  • Shawn Michaels was a spoiled brat at that time and hated to lose matches to anyone. Shawn Michaels likely would have conveniently gotten ill and refuse to work that show.

Probably not, but let's not pretend that Bret was asked to drop the belt in his home province of Calgary.  A better question would be 'If the roles were reversed, would Shawn drop the belt in Texas?', and the answer to that question is 'yes'.  Bret outright refused to lose the belt in Canada.  He's not from Montreal.

There were times when The ***** Michaels. didn't want to lose to a guy he wouldn't show up.

I know one time he was to Wrestle Shane Douglas (Troy Martin) but didn't want to waste his time. So he just drop the Title; that's when Shane went to ECW

Yes i do. I think he would have put up a fuss but at the end of the day he would have done the job. I think HBK knew there was little value in winning and losing. I think the more likely outcome would have been HBK delivering an absolute 5-star classic turning himself babyface during the match and showing everyone what they would be missing.

Doubt it. Back then it was unheard of for a wrestler to lose a title in his hometown. For that matter, it was unusual for any wrestler to lose a match in his hometown.
