What RTX card should I buy?

I have a GTX 1660Ti and I want to upgrade to a card that supports RTX, should I get a 20 series RTX or get a 30 series? I was thinking about getting the 3070.

Update:

My gaming setup has 2 LG UltraGear 27" monitors, which are capable of 1440p and 144Hz.

Update 2:

I have bought some recent games that support RTX(Battlefield V, Modern Warfare, Metro Exodus and Quake II), and my budget is $700 max. Due to the stock problems Nvidia is having with the RTX 30 series cards, I changed my opinion and decided to buy a used 2080 Super.

Considering that an RTX 3070 is (NORMALLY) priced at $500-600 and it's as fast as the RTX 2080ti, it's the obvious choice. You could also wait for the RTX 3060ti which is supposedly as fast as the RTX 2080 Super.

You're going to have to wait until the beginning of the year for an RTX 30 series card due to widespread stock issues. This is why I said and RTX 3070 is Normally $500-600. However if you find an RTX 2080 that's priced below $400 then that wouldn't be a bad deal.

Higher end cards will consume more power than midrange cards like the GTX 1660ti so make sure your power supply can handle the card you're buying.

If you're still gaming at 1080p with a monitor that has a 60hz refresh rate then you might not be super impressed with the difference. At 1080p while getting 60fps, you'll come close to maxing out the newest AAA games with an RTX 2060 which isn't a whole lot faster than a GTX 1660ti.

for which games? it really matters.

on most games that are already out, GTX performs better, especially on older games.

RTX is geared more towards newer, higher spec games. it adds features that only newer games take advantage of, that older games would ignore.

    Depends on your budget

2070 Super is a good card.
