Are vegans for or against having something made of wool?

below is a picture of a sheep that nearly died. you have to shear them and you have all that wool. Would a vegan just throw all that away because it was an animal product?

Strict vegans do not wear wool as it is an animal product. Shearing a sheep is just a haircut. I do not get scared of the barber, so a sheep should not fear the shearer.

Of course not.  You don't kill the animal to sheer it, just as you don't kill a poodle when you groom it.
