Anyone else seeing more handguns from Turkey?
Has anyone else also noticed or realized that a LOT of the handguns that you’re finding now at gun stores due to the shortage are actually Turkish? Tisas, Canik, Zaztava and Zigana? Two of the stores I go to actually do tend to have handguns but we’re names I never heard of before. Except Canik. After some research I realized those are all Turkish.

I haven't noticed that trend. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, though, since Turkey is apparently a low-cost manufacturing center for European countries. Even Ford Motor Company sells Turkish-made vehicles (the Transit Connect vans) these days.

Yup, I have a few Caniks, gave my son one a few years ago that he's become very proficient with. Also have a TriStar CZ clone that I got in a trade about 5 years ago. I also have 2 Stoeger Cougars ( made in Turkey) I also have one Caracal left that I bought before the nationwide recall. But that's not a Turkish gun, they're made in Abu Dhabi.
Turkey has been in the worldwide arms trade for decades, it's only been within the last decade that their presence in the firearms world is being considered as a viable choice.
Some really affordable and really surprisingly well built trap guns come out of Turkey.
Pretty sure the Black Aces lever action 12 gauge is a Turkish barrel on a domestic receiver and action.

Yes, I have a few of the Caniks and they are fine guns. My favorite is the Canik TP9-DA. Its a DA/SA striker fired gun with a decocker and excellent trigger out of the box- I actually bought 2 of these- fine shooters.
Then I have the SF Elite, another fine gun in SAO- trigger is excellent.
Finally I have the C-100 imported by Tristar, but made by Canik- it is a clone of the CZ-75 compact. Again an excellent gun- I did change out the hammer spring to a lighter one making a fair trigger into an excellent one.
I've had all mine a little over 2 years now- not one complaint.
Edit: Also I guess the most popular Canik is the SFX which has a little longer barrel and grip. It comes with 20 round mags. It is hot with the competition shooters.
