Why do people bother asking questions in the paranormal section when they have almost everyone blocked and therefore can get no answers? ?

It's another way to whinge about their supposed mistreatment by other users on the site. Frustrated by not being able to endlessly comment on genuine users answers they've chosen to troll with woe is me questions.

That happens a lot in here.  They don't really want answers, they just want someone to tell them what they want to hear.

Only those people know. Perhaps they aren't really seeking answers, but validation. Perhaps they blocked people who preferred to mock or ridicule, instead of giving reasonable responses. Without knowing more about the specific posts we can only guess. Your question could apply to ANY subcategory - some users only want to see responses that agree with their POV or support their situation, so they block any users who respond with contradictory info or lack of support.

maybe they just like to hear themselves talk ....................?
