Is it worth it to be in an IB program in high school?
So rn I'm an IB sophmore and it's only gonna get worse from here on out. I was just wondering of all this stuff I'm about to do is worth it for college.

My daughter did Honor and AP level classes while in high school. IB program wasn’t offered.
She took math up to AP calculus, AP Physics, AP English language and literature. She took the ACT exam cold without studying and scored very high. And her first year at her university was a breeze. She took 18 credits her first semesters freshman year and had all A’s
She is intelligent, has great time management and organizational skills.
But those higher level classes made adjusting to university level classes easy.
The more you do now, the more knowledge you have the easier it will be for you at college. You are laying down a good solid foundation.

Every course that you take now and get college credit for is going to save you several thousand dollars in tuition.
"Worth it" depends on how well funded you are. If you're super rich and don't care about money, maybe it's not worth it.

If you want to attend a competitive college, taking either IB or AP will help you to get admitted.
A full IB program is tough, though, and it was designed to be tough. At most schools, there's an alternative of taking a number of AP classes.
Either one will do. It's up to you and your parents which one you do.
