How do I change default programs in my windows 7 computer?

In Windows 7, search for "file association" in the Start Menu search box and click "Make a file type always open in a specific program." In Windows 7 , you can find the same panel in the Control Panel by going to: "Programs -> Default Programs -> Associate a file type or protocol with a program".

Hi. You can also right-click a file & use the box that says "Always use this program for files of this type" to automagically associate those file extensions with the specific software in the future.
Just one of Win7's MANY better features.
