I've heard Trump owes lot's of money to the Russians. Would that explain why he won't release his tax records?

Update:

People might care about tax records if they showed debt to the Russians...

At this point it's only a theory, a rumor.  Trump got the reputation as a man who didn't pay his debts.  He didn't pay contractors, or his own workers.  Trump actually said "When I borrow money and don't pay it back, it's not MY problem, it's the bank's problem."

So after a while no US bank would lend him money.  Because his man business--real estate development--depends on debt, Trump found other places to borrow money.  And the theory is that he borrowed it from the Russian Mob, aka The Oligarchs.

Trump's tax returns would show just how far in debt he was.  They'd also show how much he made or lost in the last few years.  And they could be compared to other existing documents to see how truthful they were.  So he won't release them.  At this point he won't even release them if they're subpoenaed, because he's shown that he's immune to subpoenas.

Someday soon we will have a Democratic president and a Democratic attorney general.  It might be next year, but at least in 2025.  (I'm prepared to wait if it take that long).  The new att'y gen. will find records and evidence of all the illegal sh*t that went on in the Trump admin., and that will all come out.  And then maybe we'll know for sure.

Part of it. He is not a billionaire. His properties are financed by many banks in other countries. He is a risk, never pays back his loans. That is why american banks will not lend him a dime.

I guess he wont release his tax returns is the same reason no other American want to have personal documents plastered on the internet. He is not required to do it, so why would he or why don't you?

Yes, and there could be many more reasons. Most people informed on such things think he is not as rich as he claims, that he has cheated on his taxes and committed insurance fraud, as well as other crimes.

Maybe, but I've yet to see a personal tax form that has a listing of who all you owe money to.
