Geographically: Eastern part of Central Europe

Historically: Eastern Europe because of the Warsaw Pact

Culturally: A pretty good mix of Western and Eastern European influence

They're currently and historically considered part of Central Europe.  It wasn't until after WWII when they were considered part of Eastern Europe because of the USSR's influence but now back where they should be as a Central European country
