Why is New Zealand so boring?

When I was new here, I loved it because there was so much to see and do. But after I have been to pretty much every where and spending about 3 years in NZ, I have realized why so many people leave.

This country is good only for retired old people and short term travelers. It's crushingly boring and isolating. I get a headache pretty much everyday from crushing boredom and isolation. Going out once in a while after raking my brain to find something interesting to do only alleviates this problem for a few hours.

Update:

Actually it's not that boring ever since I made a lot of friends. I guess that's what I was missing. And my ex, who's left NZ.

Update 2:

I'm here again. Sorry I was deceived by a spell of excitement for several days. I'm back to my crushing boredom.

it depends where you are, yeah the cities are pretty basic here but you need to get to know the real New Zealand. and if not, go away.

Not our fault you cannot be bothered to leave you lazy bed and get out of your hotel room. You need to put some effort in before you feel and see any benefits.

Go back to where you came from -- leave NZ for those who enjoy it........

So you've seen past the touristy image, and discovered it's really just like anywhere else. Maybe move down to Queenstown, if you need constant stimulus - or perhaps shift to London, NY or Singapore, for a bigger population.

I've never been but it's often how it is with island living. I lived in Honolulu for 6 months and felt like that. There was a guy on YA a year ago saying it about the Isle of Man. Move.

It's the size of Michigan, but with only the population of Connecticut, so of course it's going to be mostly rural and mostly with nothing to do.
