I use a Sony streaming media player that's old and amazon will soon cease supporting it; I subscribe to amazon prime and will lose function?
with it. What can I use other than the firestick, apple TV or Roku in place of the Sony streamer to access Amazon Prime?

You can use a video game console (PS3/4, Xbox 360/One), or a PC hooked up to your TV via HDMI. Alternatively, a lot of Blu-Ray players have "apps" that let you stream from various services.
Is there any reason why you don't want to use the devices you mentioned?
