Are Mexicans Native American?

    No The treaty of 1957 settled that issue. Up till or before that time. They could claim to be Native Americans. Come onto the reservations as Native Americans.

    No they are not. Native American (mind the capitals) is LEGALLY defined as "being an enrolled member of at least one of the 566 acknowledged *USA-based* tribes"

    Yes, they are generally the generations of both Spanish and Native Americans.

    About half of Mexicans are of European - mostly Spanish - ancestry. Most of the rest are of mixed ancestry, and about 15% of Mexicans are considered to be of indigenous ancestry.
