Since we have no idea what number corresponds to what temperature, how can we even guess?
You need to find whatever setting maintains a freezer temperature of 0F and a refrigerator temperature of 37F.
You can buy a thermometer to make sure your food is safe.

Olive just a heads up, please report the trolls on here who keep bringing up my name. The trolling is being done by several users here. Dr Death, M. Joe King, Jenya, and a guy named Mr. 412 Insraelite. They’re going around saying that I’m the one saying things. It’s lies and they don’t like me because I’ve blocked them.

The only "stuff" in a mini fridge that can be frozen is water for ice cubes (28-30° F). You can not keep ice cream and other things hard frozen (-5 to +5° F). Too many people don't understand this. A standard temperature for a refrigerator is 36-40° F.

I have had a few mini fridges and find that usually the freezer doesn't work well, so I just stopped getting them with freezers.

Dittos to Anon: buy an inexpensive refridge thermometer at the hardward store. Most recommend that the refridge section be kept at around 35-38 degrees (F) and 0 to 10 in the freezer. Almost all fridge controls are inaccurate - set to correct temps using a thermometer.

Set it to the coldest position. No joy, the fridge is broken.

As cold as you can get it without freezing stuff in the fridge part. 0F/-18C is the ideal temp for frozen food. I have mine at work set to 4 on a scale of 1-7 and it keeps stuff in the freezer compartment well frozen and things in the fridge cold, but not icy.
