Does the Queen’s tasteless gold piano prove she is even more out of touch with the peasants than Donald Trump?

She is royalty; he is not. And he has tasteless gold decor surrounding him in every place he owns.

The piano was made by Erard – the French firm whose instruments were famously used by Chopin, Liszt, Mendelssohn and Wagner. And it was made in 1856, during the reign of Queen Victoria and given to Queen Victoria on 30 April 1856, 70 years before this Queen was even born.

Since when is the British Queen giving a speech sitting in front of a family heirloom tasteless?

That piano is from the 19th century, and it doesn't belong to the Queen. It came with the residence, which is, to remind people, a bonafide palace. I believe it belonged to the era of Queen Victoria. I'm sure the present Queen considers it a piece of furniture, alongside the gold-inlaid tables and the rich tapestries. Prince George and Princess Charlotte take piano lessons, but you can be sure they wont be practicing on that relic. Again, none of the furnishings belong to the Queen.

Besides being an anonymous troll with questions relating to the monarchy on a regular basis what else do you do? It appears that, unlike the Queen, you contribute nothing to the well being of the people and, like the idiots on twitter, specifically known as twits, facts are something foreign to you. The only person worse than trolls and twits is Trump who, to his credit, has far surpassed them in ignoring reality and in his lack of ability to act in a reasonable and logical manner. And since you love being anonymous, well then I guess I will do the same.

An item owned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Which means Elizabeth couldn't rid of it if she wanted to. It's not her personal possession but belongs to the Crown patrimony.

It's not to my taste, but it has rather interesting, Mannerist-inspired decoration. Perhaps it should be moved to a museum, where visitors could happily sneer over its bad taste and feel better about their own.
