Were British people in WW1 told by Royals that the Kaiser and Germans started it and were a threat?

The reasons for Britain entering WWI were sketchy even to those involved in the decision - nothing sensible was communicated to the public. There was no imperative in those days to "justify" a war. British interests was enough of a reason.

The British people new that Germany was responsible for British entry into the war. If The Kaiser had not ordered his troops to invade France via Belgium, then The UK, her colonies and Dominions would not have been a belligerent in the Entente alliance.
