What's the shortcut to do this in intelliJ IDEA?
to select all the white spaces between two consecutive words. If there is huge space gap between two consecutive words, I want to select the white space in between so that I can delete it.

You should be able to select it by double clicking it, but IDEA should have an auto-format shortcut, too.
Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+L to indent your code and remove whitespace.
