Troll Questions?

What is going on with all the fake members all joining on the 10th January and asking numerous questions on the same subject one after another.

We have better things to do than sit here answering non-genuine questions and I think yahoo should be doing something about it.

Update:

UPDATE... I am getting 'threat has been detected' everytime an answer or comment has been put on here.

This isn't good.

Some trolls are just bored kids I think. They ask here because they can see it's popular but don't have the brain power to ask sensible things that we older users would actually be able to help them with. They just ask stupid things and either think it's funny to do or they just wish to use up a spare half hour before mum shouts "Lights out kids". I often feel that many of these 'teenagers' are about seven years old.

They are just trolls. I agree with you, the admins of Yahoo should ban their accounts to prevent them from posting even more troll questions. You can just ignore those questions.

I also got a message from my virusscanner when I was on yahoo answers, I got multiple of them. They're not popping up any more and I don't know if it was caused by Yahoo at all.

It bugs me when people give answers just to get points and there's no intelligence behind it.

In fact they insult you for asking a question on Yahoo answers, I mean come on!That's as low as it gets!

I don't have the time for that.If I knew the answer I wouldn't be asking in the first place or I would've found it on google.I come to yahoo answers when google can't provide.

I flag them right away and hide their answers.I figure if enough people flag them hopefully they'll get the hint.

I think there might be even more going on as every time there is an answer or comment I am getting

'threat has been detected' on my security system.

    This isn't good.

Hopefully, regardless of whether there's a financial benefit, to YA or to individuals?, this can be sorted out. I'm getting to the point of not answering ANY January 10 questions, on any area. How to wreck a website eh.

It has been happening recently quite a lot... They are level building... they pick a word (at the moment it is 'fee') and then recycle hundreds of old questions quickly. that have the word in it... There is obviously some financial benefit to it somewhere along the line.

They seem to be everywhere. I answer one only to scroll further down and see multitudes of them, then I go back and delete my answer. It's pathetic.
