Any recipes for Banana Amber Beer?

I am getting up the nerve to make a banana amber ale. A microbrewery had it and it was very good. I will get a very good Amber Ale kit (Steinfillers, Long Beach CA, but they don't ship). The internet clues show people pureeing and boiling about 8 ripe bananas in the wort and then adding a small bottle of banana extract in the fermentation. Any suggestions?

Flavors are lost in the boil.

Puree in a sac added as fermentation is winding down followed by a one week rest can work.

Adding a flavor extract at bottling time gives the most control.

My suggestion would be to avoid the pureed bananas and rely on the extract. You will get a cleaner-looking beer that way. You might want to adjust the mouthfeel later.
