Did the Salary Cap Doom the 49ers?

Back in the days of Eddie D,. Carmen Policy, Bill Walsh and many more, the 49ers could go out and buy what they needed.

While other NFL teams have figured out how to win within a salary cap structure, the 49ers can t win consistently.

No. Inept management has killed the once-proud franchise.

Back in 2012 Alex Smith signed a 3 year/$24M contract to quarterback the team. Smith had improved dramatically under Jim Harbaugh's guidance and had his best season as a 49er that year.

But the front office decided to go cheap and traded Smith before handing the job to Colin Crappynig. Ironically, the team wound up wasting far more money on that turd than they did Smith.

Then the idiot GM fired Harbaugh, who was the driving force behind the team's success, and replaced him with a nobody. Now he's place the nobody with another proven idiot, Chunk Kelly.

Baalke needs to go and so do Kelly and Crappynig. They need to bring in some human beings to run and play for this team.

Salary caps don't doom teams, awful management and ownership do. The latter is what doomed the 49ers

They did just fine with the cap while Harbaugh was coaching... although you may be too young to remember that.
