On ebay, Is it possible to make an offer higher than the sellers asking price?

    Yes but that's the sign you are dealing with a scammer. They look for people whose greed is stronger than their common sense

    Why would anyone pay MORE for an item? People go on EBay to look for bargains, not to pay more than the asking price

    They are going to pay you with a hacked Paypal account or not pay you at all. They will just send a fake email that looks like it's from Paypal or Ebay asking you to ship the item before the money appears in your account

    And remember you NEVER give your Paypal details to anyone on Ebay for any reason. Scammers will message you asking for this. Do not do it. They pay on Ebay or no deal. They are trying to get you to do to an "off site" transaction so you are not protected by either Ebay or Paypal

    If there is a buy it now price why would anyone do that? It's usually a sign of a scam.
