Fellow Australians, are you interested in new words?
Whenever I travel, I generally listen to ABC Regional Radio for the great interviews. They had a great discussion on the 2015 new words. What new words do you use? I love Grandcare, as that is what I do: care for grandkids. Captain's Call won word of the year - which is great for a sport loving nation. Deso - designated driver and many more.
Some guy phoned in to say his family invented CHIMPLE, now this is a great new word - means cheep and simple, as in dinner tonight will be chimple, Love it.

When I get home from work and there's nothing for dinner, I feel hangry.

Yes, I am fascinated by the evolution of language... but is this a trick question?
Edit - haha, I wrote that as you were adding your details. So I see it's not a trick Q, how refreshing in this Category :)
Thanks for the link. I thought "captain's call" was a disappointing choice and far more enjoyed "mansplaining" (although that might be on the 2016 list?).

No, I despise new words. The English language is rich and flexible enough for all our needs. If it ever falls short we can borrow from the French comme ça.
