Yes sadly many overseas brands of olive oil have all sorts of additives or alternative oils mixed in. The import industry for oils is an absolute disgrace and should be thoroughly investigated. As a consequence, like a number of the other respondents, I only buy Australian made olive oil. It's better to be supporting our local economy anyway.

I buy locally made olive oil from the lady who sells it at the farmers markets. She has an olive grove somewhere around here, and it's fantastic oil.

I am an avid label checker. The thing to watch out for with olive oil is the production year, not all brands show it.
