For video editing: Core i5(2012) or i7 from 2010?
...in general, using the average processor.
(mainly for HD video editing)

I would go with the i7, and just make sure in settings that you have the latest update/s if there are any. The i5 will handle the load, but it will be a longer rendering time, so it might depend on how patient you are, lol.
