Can anyone locate the VH1 'Pop up video' where they did Devo's 'Whip It'? (Or any other Devo song)?
Someone is claiming that Devo used to throw diapers filled with mashed potatoes into the audience. I couldn't find any reference to it online, and he seemed to think it came from pop-up video, but conveniently I can't locate it. I found a list that said it was from episode 40, but that's about it. Anyone know if the claim is true or not?

i haven't heard that one but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. it fits with the sort of things they did, they had a crazy stage show, wore diapers in some of the early shows, and spuds were a frequent part of their whole, uh, world view i suppose you'd call it.
